PHILIPPINES is AWESOME!
Philippines never ceases to amaze us! Here, you can find stunning sights above and beneath the sea, the culture, the people and the delicious food. Spending a night or two on this beautiful island-blessed country is not enough to savour all that Philippines has to offer. So, here are 5 reasons why visiting Philippines should definitely be on your bucket list!
#1 Friendly Locals
If you haven’t already known, Filipinos are incredibly friendly and hospitable people. From the very moment you arrive at the airport, you will be greeted by friendly people who will be willing to assist you whenever you are in need of help. Wherever you go you’ll be able to find a good conversation with locals. If you’re willing, you could even ask for some suggestions as to what to look for when you’re visiting the region. Locals here will make you feel right at home, introducing you to their culture, family members and even invite you on special occasions, fiestas and birthdays.
A big thing about the Philippines is the way that they celebrate their festivals. These festivals are either based on their patron saints or legends that had come from their area. Here you can find awesome colourful parades, finely-created and detailed costumes, street parties, and dance competitions that are designed to hype up the mood of every festival. Some very popular festivals include the Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City, Moriones Festival in Marinduque, and Rodeo Festival in Masbate.
#3 Breathtaking Islands
The Philippines is an archipelago and boasts more than 7000 islands and islets, each beholding their own unique beauty. Each island is unique in both its people and culture. And although each island possesses very different beaches, they do share one thing in common. They are absolutely stunning.
#4 Food Haven
Who doesn’t love great tasting authentic Filipino food? Well, if you haven’t yet tried some, you’re missing out! One way to observe the culture of a country would be to taste their food. In Cebu for example, you can try some world class lechon, and fill your hungry tummy with Pampanga’s sizzling sisig, or experience eating in your palm with Quezon Province’s Pancit Habhab. Some must-try are adobo, balut, halo-halo, and of course, Davao City’s very own durian.
#5 Great adventures
Here in Philippines, you can find a place filled with wonderful mountains and gorgeous outdoor terrains. The highest peak of the country is Mt. Apo at 2954 metres. Travellers may also try Mount Dulang-Dulang and Mt. Pulag if they are really looking for a remarkable Filipino adventure.
